Slipped Disk ( Herniated Nucleus Pulposus ) 髓核, 髓核突出, 椎间盘突出.

A  Herniated Nucleus Pulposus is a slipped disk along the spinal cord. The condition occurs when all or part of the soft center of a spinal disk is forced though a weakened part of the disk.

Possible Causes :-

The bones ( Vertebrae ) of the spinal column run down the back. connecting the skull to the pelvis. These bones protect nerves that come out of the brain and travel down the back and to the entire body. The spinal vertebrae are separated by disk filled with a soft, gelatinous ( 凝胶状 )substance, which provide cushioning to the spinal column. These disk may herniate (move out of place) or rupture from trauma or strain.
Most herniation takes place in the lower back ( lumbar area ) of the spine. Lumbar disk herniation occurs 15 times more often than cervical (Neck) disk herniation, and it is one of the most common causes of lower back pain.

Disk herniation occurs more frequently in middle aged and older men, especially those involved in strenuous physical activity. Other risk factor include any congenital conditions that affect the size of the lumbar spinal canal.

Nutrition that may help :-

Protein - To supply protein, needed for tissue repair. Protein is a MAJOR component of bone tissue. ( 1 scoop 3x/day. )

Calcium & Magnesium - A proper balance of calcium and magnesium helps prevent abnormal calcium deposition. ( 3 tab x 3 / day )

B complex - Necessary for production of hydrochloric acid, which helps prevent bone, spurs by aiding proper calcium absorption. Prevent nerve damage. ( 3 tab 3x/day )

Bio C - Acts as an anti-inflammatory for collagen and connection tissue, may help in pain relief. ( 3 tab 3 x /day )

Glucosamine HCI with Boswellia - Very important for the formation of bones, tendons, ligaments, cartilage and synovial joint fluid.( 3 tab 3 x /day )

Omega 3 - The fatty acids that are necessary for health and that cannot be made by the body, are called essential fatty acids. Increase production and activity of anti-inflammatory prostaglandins. ( 1 tab 2x / day )
